The President's Volunteer Service Award
The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation was established in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making to our communities and encourage more people to serve. The Council created the award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
The Presidential Award is given to students who have completed a significant amount of community service in one calendar year. There are three levels of the award:
Gold - 250+ hours
Silver - 175-249 hours
Bronze - 100-174 hours
Deadline for the 2023 Presidential Service Award Applications is September 22.
How do I apply?
We offer the award in the fall of each school year. Applications will be available beginning in August.
Can you win more than one award?
Yes, you may apply once a year to earn a total of four presidential service awards.
How do you know if I completed all of my hours?
After you submit your application, we will verify all of your hours collected on your pink community service time sheets. Please make sure they are all turned into student services.
