The Jefferson Service Award
Vision
Since 1972, Pioneer Service Learning has nominated students for the Jefferson Award. Jefferson Award recipients inspire others to become involved in the community. Check out the regional page at http://www.jeffersonawards.org/.
Description
This award recognizes students who have participated in unique community service. The Jefferson Team awards one winner every month. Several previous winners have collected used sports equipment for a YMCA, organized a book fair for local elementary schools, and created an adult night school to teach English and Hindi.
Application
Students can be nominated for this award by any parent, teacher, or even the student themselves. You can nominate a person in room P-4, the library, or in Student Services. Also, you can email your nomination to phsjefferson@gmail.com. After being nominated, students will receive a letter allowing them to
schedule an interview in room P-4.
